Limi Valley Trekking is an adventurous journey into a remote hidden valley of Humla in Nepal’s mid-western Himalayas. This trek offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you explore the three isolated villages of Limi, where traditions are deeply rooted in Tibetan Buddhist culture. Officially opened to trekkers in 2002, the Limi Valley trail still sees very few visitors each year, making it one of Nepal’s most untouched and authentic trekking destinations.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m), Transfer to Hotel & Trip Preparation

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a briefing and preparation for the upcoming journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 :

Cultural Tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu

Spend the day exploring Kathmandu’s UNESCO-listed landmarks, including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Patan Durbar Square. In the evening, finalize trek preparations. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03 :

Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (150m) – 50 minutes

Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a vibrant city in western Nepal near the Indian border. Explore the local market and prepare for the mountain flight the next day. Overnight in Nepalgunj.

Day 04 :

Flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot (2,950m) – 30 minutes

Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot, the district headquarters of Humla. Enjoy stunning views of the Karnali region during the flight. After arrival, explore Simikot’s traditional villages and prepare for the trek. Overnight in Simikot.

Day 05 :

Trek from Simikot to Dharapori (2,300m) – 4 to 5 hrs

Begin your trek through lush forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Enjoy scenic views of the surrounding hills and rivers before reaching Dharapori. Overnight stay in Dharapori.

Day 06 :

Trek from Dharapori to Kermi (2,670m) – 4 to 5 hrs

Trek uphill through dense forests and small villages, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Arrive at Kermi, a peaceful village with traditional Tibetan-influenced culture. Overnight in Kermi.

Day 07 :

Trek from Kermi to Yalbang (3,020m) – 5 to 6 hrs

Continue ascending through rugged trails, passing terraced fields and remote settlements. Reach Yalbang, a traditional Tibetan-influenced village with stunning Himalayan views. Overnight stay in Yalbang.

Day 08 :

Trek from Tumkot to Thado Dhunga (4,000m) - 5 to 6 hours trek.

Trek through high-altitude landscapes, crossing streams and moraine valleys. Enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks as you reach Thado Dhunga, a remote and serene settlement. Overnight in Thado Dhunga.

Day 09 :

Trek from Thado Dhunga to Hilsa (3,700m) via Nara La Pass (4,620m) – 6 to 7 hrs

Cross the high Nara La Pass at 4,620m, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. Descend to Hilsa, a border village near Tibet, and experience its unique Tibetan culture. Overnight in Hilsa.

Day 10 :

Trek from Hilsa to Manipeme (3,990m) – 5 to 6 hrs

Trek through alpine landscapes and open valleys, with stunning views of snow-capped peaks. Arrive at Manipeme, a remote village reflecting traditional Tibetan-Buddhist culture. Overnight stay in Manipeme.

Day 11 :

Trek from Manipeme to Til Village (4,100m) – 6 to 7 hrs

Ascend through high-altitude trails with panoramic Himalayan views, passing yak pastures and remote settlements. Arrive at Til Village, a serene and culturally rich Tibetan-influenced village. Overnight in Til.

Day 12 :

Trek from Til Village to Chagzur Hot Springs via Halji (4,100m) – 6 to 7 hrs

Descend and then trek through scenic valleys, passing Halji village. Reach Chagzur Hot Springs, a natural thermal spring where you can relax and enjoy the warm waters amid stunning mountain surroundings. Overnight near the hot springs.

Day 13 :

Rest Day at Chagzur Hot Spring (Tashi Tang)

Take a well-deserved rest day at the natural hot springs. Relax in the warm waters, explore the surrounding alpine scenery, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Tashi Tang. Overnight near the hot springs.

Day 14 :

Trek to Jade/Nyalu Base Camp in Talung Valley (4,350m) – 6 to 7 hrs

Trek through pristine alpine valleys, passing yak pastures and remote settlements. Arrive at Jade/Nyalu Base Camp in Talung Valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Overnight at base camp.

Day 15 :

Trek from Nyalu Base Camp to Sheng Jungma (3,620m) – 7 to 8 hrs

Descend through high-altitude valleys and rugged trails, passing yak pastures and traditional Tibetan-influenced villages. Arrive at Sheng Jungma, a serene and culturally rich settlement in the heart of Limi Valley. Overnight in Sheng Jungma.

Day 16 :

Trek from Sheng Jungma to Langdog Base/Ding Village Herd Site (4,164m) – 5 to 6 hrs

Trek through remote alpine landscapes, crossing yak pastures and rugged trails. Arrive at Langdog Base/Ding Village, a high-altitude settlement known for its traditional herding lifestyle. Overnight stay at Langdog Base.

Day 17 :

Trek from Langdog Base to Lekh Dinga (3,890m) via Langdog Pass (4,550m) – 5 to 6 hrs

Cross the high Langdog Pass at 4,550m, enjoying panoramic Himalayan views. Descend to Lekh Dinga, a remote village surrounded by alpine landscapes. Overnight in Lekh Dinga.

Day 18 :

Trek from Lekh Dinga to Simikot (2,950m) – 6 to 7 hrs

Descend through lush valleys and remote villages, retracing parts of the trail back toward Simikot. Enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way. Overnight in Simikot.

Day 19 :

Flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj, then Kathmandu – 1 hr 20 mins

Take a morning flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj, followed by a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and relax after the long journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 20 :

Final Departure

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Conclude your Limi Valley Trek with memories of remote Himalayan landscapes, Tibetan culture, and a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
