Pikey Peak Trek

9 Days 8 Nights

Pikey Peak Trek is one of the most rewarding short treks in the Everest region, loved by nature enthusiasts and travelers with limited time. Despite being a relatively short journey, it offers breathtaking Himalayan views and the chance to experience the region’s unique landscapes and rich culture.

For those who prefer comfort, we also provide a Pikey Peak Jeep Tour from Kathmandu, including jeep arrangements to Salleri. In just a week from Kathmandu, trekkers can embark on the Pikey Peak Base Camp trail, passing through traditional villages, vibrant prayer flags, and serene forests. Every step brings you closer to the majestic peak, where the spiritual calmness of the Himalayas surrounds you. This is also a perfect place for yoga and meditation, with Mt. Everest (8,848m) standing tall before your eyes. Alongside Everest, you can witness stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Makalu (8,485m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m), and many more.

Overview

The Pikey Peak Trek culminates at 4,065 meters with a breathtaking viewpoint, a favorite of Sir Edmund Hillary. The panorama features a stunning array of Himalayan giants, including Everest (Sagarmatha), Dhaulagiri, and Makalu. The summit itself is an easy one-hour walk from base camp and is adorned with prayer flags and Buddhist chortens. The vista is especially magnificent at sunrise and sunset, with many claiming it surpasses the view from Kala Patthar near Everest Base Camp. On a clear day, you can see all eight of Nepal’s peaks above 8,000 meters, including the distant Kanchenjunga to the east.
